Sarnia City Council APPROVED our zoning bylaw request and we are now one step closer to approval from every party. This was huge for our progress and we couldn’t thank the councillors who put their trust in us enough. Amazing!
Minor renovations continue:
It’s been a wild ride, not without its hiccups. We were slowed down briefly by some theft where we saw all of the tools and paint from the building “disappear”, which led to us making the property more secure with additional lights and cameras and has forced us to lock the back gate when we aren’t here. There are some positives there.
Lastly, we have been building and submitting our paperwork to the ministry of education so that we can get their final stamp of approval as soon as possible. The next step in our journey is my favourite part (so far) where we get to start accepting applications for the wonderful staff we want to hire.
Our goals around staffing and our expectations are very high. We want the best for our children and the community. We have been putting together a plan that will incentivize the very best in the industry to join Lakeside and thrive. We will post a date for our hiring fair soon.
